Experience Day and Night on the Reef at Sea Life Sydney Aquarium

This Summer, experience Day and Night on the Reef at Sea Life  SydneyAquarium’s all new $5 million interactive exhibit and the largest of its kind in the world! 
The interactive new experience, is now home to hundreds of beautiful sea creatures, including Myrtle the rescue turtle and her fellow turtle friends Dave and Choung, an endangered sawfish, Maori Wrasse and schools of tropical fishDay and Night on the Reef has been designed to convey several distinct ‘time zones’ which reflect various moments in time that are experienced on the reef during the day and night and will take guests on a colourful journey of the world-famous Great Barrier Reef right in the heart of Sydney.
• Start your journey at ‘6pm’ on the Reef, and be awed by the expansive coral garden which glows under the ‘night’ lights.
• Make your way through ‘Jelly Lullaby’, and immerse yourself in a forest of glowing jellies which makes for the perfect photo opportunity! 
• Walk along the bioluminescent shore of Moonlight Beach and watch your footsteps glow as tiny bioluminescent organisms inhabiting the coral reef light up the ocean below you.
• Witness a digital display of the rare phenomenon of coral spawning, and control the current through motion sensors. 
• Experience the animals’ activity by day, and as the sun begins to set, learn about how we can protect our reef and watch the life-cycle of a turtle through projection mapping; from nesting until the birth of the new hatchlings
• End your ‘day’ on the reef by reflecting back on the giant wave, freezing a moment in time to capture all the unique animals who lay beneath the surface

Day and Night on the Reef opened to the public from Saturday 24th November at Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, welcoming guests daily in the heart of the CBD.

Sydney Tower Eye 
A Fair Dinkum Aussie Christmas at Sydney Tower Eye

These school holidays, Santa’s getting DOWN– down-under, that is – at his first ever fair-dinkum Aussie Christmas at the Sydney Tower Eye.

This Christmas, don’t be a galah! Dash all the way up to the Sydney Tower Eye Observation Deck and say G’day to Santa, and snap a FREE Santa photo (or selfie!) under the palm trees.

From 23 November to 23 December, you’ll find Aussie Santa slipped, slopped and slapped atop the Sydney Tower Eye, chilling on his beach chair with his boardies, thongs and sunnies on – the way it should be! Equipped with his surfboard and even an esky in tow, experience an Aussie Christmas like no other - 250 metres above street level!

Santa’s Aussie Summerland will be open at the Sydney Tower Eye from Friday 23 November to Sunday 23 December. During this time Santa will be open for visits and last minute present requests weekdays from 4.00pm - 7.00pm and weekends from 11.00pm - 6.00pm, then 11.00pm - 6.00pm every day from Saturday 16 December.

Magic at Illawarra Fly
This summer, Illawarra Fly Treetop Adventures will be transformed into a magical fairy wonderland and children from all across the land will be able to help their new little fairy and elf friends find their treetop homes. 
Ten fairy homes, which have been lovingly built by the team at Men’s Shed Colac, will be scattered throughout the rainforest floor and it is your mission to help the fairies and elves living at Illawarra Fly to find their very own fairy home.
Upon entry at Illawarra Fly, two hours away from Sydney, children will receive a magical fairy card which will set them off on a trail to discover each of the homes and un-jumble the magic word. 
Once all ten fairies’ homes have been found, our little fairy home hunters will receive a special enchanted sticker to award them for their efforts.
Whilst discovering the fairy homes, visitors to IllawarraFly can also try out the Treetop Walk which features a 500 metre-long, 2metre-high elevated walkway which provides unrivalled views of the unique beauty of the region’s flora and fauna, from the rainforest floor up into the towering heights of the treetops.
As well as the 45-metre tall Knight’s Tower and the cantilever perched above the rainforest floor – a truly exhilarating experience as you gently sway with the canopy.
