Our Visit to Raging Waters Sydney- Review and Tips

Looking for a fun Sydney family activity to do with the family? Check out Raging Waters Sydney, located in Prospect NSW. We recently visited for a fun-filled family day out, and had the most magnificent time. I won’t lie, this Mumma was exhausted by the end of it, but the girls had so much fun and it was great to spend time with them getting active and leaning into my inner child!
Plus, we created lots of fun family memories, which is really the best feeling.

ATTRACTIONS

This water park really has everything. It’s not all crazy rides and dark tunnels – though there’s some of that for thrill-seekers!

The park has the following attractions:
Rides and slides
Waves, rivers and pools
Splash zones

With over 30 attactions, there is SO much fun for kids, including the Nickelodeon beach, where you will see characters like SpongeBob Squarepants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more of your faves.
The Nickelodeon beach was the girls’ favourite and we spent most of our time between there and the beach. The line is super quick (mum bonus!).
The staff are so organised and communication was great, which meant they kept all the slides following nice and smoothly. Long queues and disorganised management can make days out like this super stressful, but luckily there was none of that here!
The beach section was absolutely beautiful! We made sand castles, enjoyed the water, and actually got some relaxation in – not what I was expecting!

SHOPPING

Don’t worry if you forget your summer essentials. There is a beachfront shop that has them all available, from sunscreen, hats and more. Let’s not forget the all important gift shop to end the day with – the girls love taking a keepsake home from our special days out.

FOOD

You won't feel hungry or thirsty here! There are many dining and beverage options available, from pizza, burgers, hot dogs, chicken and many sweet treat options. Popcorn, fairy floss, and churros are all on the menu, letting you really treat yourself.
The girls ate chicken tenders and chips, I got a cheeseburger, hubby and my brother in law a grilled chicken burger and my sister calamari and chips. The food was nice and fresh, and as a special occasion it was nice to let the girls have some treat foods.
Luckily this caffeine-addicted Mumma got her coffee fix, too, at the onsite coffee shop.

PARKING

There is a massive car park so you don’t need to worry about finding a spot. We found one right away, and paid $10 for the whole day! There is also a drop off and pick up spot, handy for dropping older kids off for a day out!

CABANAS

Fancy an extra bit of luxury? You can make a day of it and hire a cabana! There are 4 different options to pick from depending on how many people and where you want to be located. Prices start from $69 on weekends.
We hired a family Cabana, which was perfect for the 6 of us. It was the perfect ‘base’ that we could return to knowing we had our own space to rest, relax and eat lunch. Our Cabana was located right in the Nickelodeon beach section which is the kids side – perfect! Everything was so close and convenient, so it’s totally worth the money to reserve your own.

We couldn’t help by ending our visit in the high tide gift shop where we got a few souvenirs! I'm a sucker for keepsakes. Magnets are always a must and the girls got a few nicknacks to remember the day.

My Top Tips!

- Hire a locker, it’s so handy and gave us that peace of mind our valuables are locked and kept our hands free

- Go as early as you can! There is SO much fun to get through and if you are with kids, you will need a few breaks in between to recharge!

- If you can, hire a cabana! It is such a beautiful touch to the day, you can also keep some stuff there, enjoy the table and chairs and some family time without worrying about finding a space.

- Bring a change of clothes. I bought the girls two dresses each but they wet both pretty quick on our breaks, so my biggest tip is bring extra for the drive home, nothing worse than wet clothes and tired kids on the drive home after a long day!

- Measure your child before hand if you don’t know their height. Lots of slides have height restrictions and it’s good to pre warn the kids beforehand that there is some they might not be able to go on. Knowing in advance might reduce the tears and upset on the day.

- If you’re a coffee addict like me...caffeine up!

I’d love to hear if any of you visit and hope you found this review helpful in planning your day.
