Mother’s Day is coming up fast and my most favourite gift I like to receive and give is a card, it’s a  beautiful personal touch that comes from the heart, and lasts forever.

This year we are making our own Mother’s day cards using our new Cricut Joy! If you haven’t seen it yet, the Cricut Joy is the newest, powerful but tiny, cutting machine from cricut. It can create customised labels, vinyl decals, iron on transfers, birthday banners and so much more.

One of the things I love about this machine is that it’s small and easily portable. It fits in the cupboard or looks great on the table, packs away easily and sets up instantly making it super easy to move from room to room  You are using smaller material size, which makes the whole Joy portable and compact! Perfect as I don’t have alot of space at home. I cannot wait till #isolife is over, Il be able to take this baby to friends houses to get some crafting on!


WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR CARD 

• Cricut Joy
•Joy CardMat
• Insert Card Kits
• Basic Tool Set



INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 – Open Design Space – search for Quick Cuts in cartridges (Images > Cartridges > Quick Cut or go to Projects> Free For Cricut Joy). Select a card and choose “Make It”

Step 2 – Review Artwork – make sure the “on Card Mat” is selected and choose “Make”

Step 3 – Load Paper on Mat – using the Insert Card Kits, place a folded card into the mat so that the back of the card is protected. Insert into the Cricut Joy machine. The sensors will feed the mat in.

Step 4 – Cut – your machine is connected by bluetooth and there are no buttons on the machine. You’ll have to make all your actions on your mobile device or computer.

Fold Over To Sticky Side

Step 5 – Insert – Once the card is complete, insert the backer card into the corners of the card and you’ll immediately have a pop of colour and lots of dimensions to your card.



INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW 

• To write or draw on the inside of the card, fold the card inside out and repeat the steps above. Be sure that your Draw design is properly oriented and positioned on the project preview screen.
• Cricut Joy Blade will leave impressions on your mat as it cuts all the way through your material. It’s fine and normal and actually looks kinda cool

These DIY Easter choc /candy huggers are the ultimate in cute. Cut at home then have your kids hand them out in class as a cute Easter gift for friends and teachers. The girls and I had so much fun with these!

The easiest way by far to make these is with a cutting machine I cut them out with my trusted CRICUT Machine on different colour cardstock. I bought an SVG from a little store on Etsy, otherwise they can easily be designed yourself if you wish.

Hugging them around the choc was easy. I rolled up a piece of tape, stuck it to the choc and then folded each arm over so that it would adhere.



YOU WILL NEED
• a cricut machine
• card stock (standard letter paper)
• design space app
• clear tape or glue
• choc eggs
• double sided tape



DIRECTIONS
• pick your Easter treat. We used choc eggs
• cut your Bunny
• tape or glue arms across the choc to hold in treat tightly.





INSTRUCTIONS
• Upload your svg  bunny  file to design space app
• Select your colour choice of cardstock for bunny (we used multiple colours)
• Select which cardstock your using on design space
• Place cardstock on your cricut mat and start cutting
• Using double sided tape place the choc in the centre and fold arms of bunny in

Guys, you know I love my Circut Explore Air 2! This time we tried another DIY quick and easy project to make a gift for Dad.

We decided to make Dad his own personal lolly jar, and he absolutely loved it! If you want to make your own lolly jar for your family or for a gift, here’s how:




What you’ll need
- Lolly jar- we got ours from Kmart
- Cricut explore air 2,
- Lollies of your choice
- Transfer paper
- Colour of choice


Prepare your Standard Grip Mat by cutting a piece of Iron-On to the size as indicated on Cricut Design Space. Remember to put the SHINY side downwards (the matte side facing up). Insert your prepared mat into your machine and PRESS GO!

These would make awesome gifts for Christmas gifts for teachers and friends.

I was recently sent something for myself to try! Yep, this mumma got something for herself for a change! I was super excited about this one - the Cricut Explore Air 2.

I LOVE DIY and have always wanted to design to make my own t-shirts, personalise mugs, make greeting cards, sticker labels and more, but like so many other things, I just didn’t get around to it. But now I get the chance to with my new baby!


I researched for months and decided my first project will be to add a personal touch to Madison’s birthday party gift boxes for her friends.

Materials

Gift boxes- I used gift boxes in colours red, blue, yellow and white to make Madison’s theme - Wonder Woman! We got our boxes from Five Star Party Supplies and they were so lovely to chat to. They helped out with giving me the measurements of the box and it got sent out super quick

So, the Cricut Explore Air 2 - It’s so versatile and can cut 100's of materials, even leather.
I used Cricut Holygrapic Vinyl - this vinyl is amazing and felt it matched my Wonder Woman theme for that shiny touch that the girls will love.

My other handy tool was the Cricut transfer tape – I used this to get the Holygrapic vinyl onto  to the boxes.


Instructions

1. Design! We use ‘design space’ which has 100's of designs and fonts to help you create! We went with a cute message ‘Super thanks, love Madison’ with a Wonder Woman W in the middle.



2. Once you have the design you simply size to fit your box or desired product and you’re ready to go!



3. When you’re happy with size and design, design space will then tell you which blade to use and ask you exactly what material you are using before you cut.

4. Stick your material onto your mat insert and away you go! Let the Criuct work its magic.




5. Stick the transfer tape on top of what’s been cut and slowly stick onto box.
