As a mum of two who is constantly busy herself, I was excited to find out Candice's secrets and share with all you fabulous ladies.
Tell me about Faux-Cialiser?
A faux-cialiser is a person who chooses to embrace and savour the joy of a night at home, bindging on TV and eating lovingly prepared meals. It’s all about indulgence and knowing when you need to spend some time in rather than time out.
What are your tips for people to fit more Faux-Cialiser into their life?
Know when you need to take some time out! It’s okay to be honest and admit to friends that you just need a night-in to relax. They will appreciate you much more for it! Even though I regularly attend events and have fun doing so, I just love a night-in at home! To my friends I am a certified ‘bailer’, always providing the stereotypical excuses of “not feeling well” or “sorry I’m stuck in traffic”. As a mum there is nothing better than giving yourself the time to relax and recharge. During the week it’s the time I give myself the opportunity to enjoy some sneaky indulgences, such as watching The Real Housewives whilst treating myself to some Connoisseur Choc Mousse, or if I’m feeling adventurous a creamy Vanilla, Raspberry and Pomegranate Pana Cotta.
What does a night as a faux-cialiser involve, for you?
I love to sit on the couch and enjoy a glass of bubbly and a cheeky Connoisseur Choc Mousse. It’s these little indulgent moments which I consider as ‘me time’. A Connoisseur Dessert is the perfect indulgence to finish your day with. It’s a little pot of pleasure to reward and unwind with.
What's next for Candice?
I have lots of travel overseas supporting David. I have signed up to run in the Gold Coast marathon on July 2. This will give me a goal while I'm away and also while I spend time at home in the colder months. Setting goals is massive for me, achieving them is even bigger. Beyond this there isn't much. We are building our dream home so that will also take up a lot of my time.
Thank you Candice for sharing. You have inspired me, and im sure my readers to Faux-Cialise. Your nights in Faux-Cialise sound perfect! The Connoisseur desserts sound so good and will be trying some very soon. All the best with your travels xx

DeleteI'd never heard of this term before - I think I have my moments where I'm definitely being a faux-cialiser but at the same time I have my nights where I just wanna get out with my girls, have a couple of drinks and dance haha.

Great interview, I love that she has stressed the importance of taking care of yourself - too many people feel pressured to go out to have a good time so it's lovely to see her being a role model and let people know you can still be glam while on the couch haha xx
